Anna Campbell Wins 2010 National Dressage Seat Equitation Medal Finals!

Anna Campbell won the Dressage Seat Equitation medal Finals (13 and under) which was held at the Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, Illinois. Along with the title of national champion, Anna's name will be inscribed on the perpetual DSE champion's trophy kept on display at the USEF national headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky. Additionally, Anna recieved an inscribed silver bowl, an embroidered cooler for her horse, Mai, and a dressage saddle.

Everyone at NTEC and in Region 9 is very proud of Anna's ranking #1 in the nation. CONGRATULATIONS, ANNA!

Four NTEC Riders Attend the 2010 NAJYRC

Representing Region 9, three dressage riders from NTEC qualified for and attended the 2010 North American Junior and Young Rider Championships (NAJYRC). This premier competition was held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.

Nathalie Martin rode her horse, Royal, in the Junior Rider division. Julia Handt rode her mount, Frambeau, in the Young Rider division, and Rachel Campbell also participated in the Young Rider division with her horse Wandango.

In addition, NTEC rider Jordan Appel and her horse, Einstein, were members of the Zone 7 Junior Rider jumper team.

This championship was Rachel's last appearance at the NAJYRC as she graduates into the Brentina Cup age bracket. Rachel has qualified for and has attended all NAJYRC championships since 2006:

2006 - JR riding with a combined team from Region 5 in Lexington, Virginia
2007 - YR riding for Region 9 in Lexington, Virginia
2008 - YR riding for Region 9 in Parker, Colorado
2009 - YR riding for Region 9 in Lexington, Kentucky
2010 - YR riding for Region 9 in Lexington, Kentucky

Alexis Bowen Attends the USEF National Pony Jumper Finals

Alexis Bowen attended the USEF National Pony Jumper Finals held in Lexington, Kentucky. She and her horse, Kelly, were members of Zone 7.

The combined Zone 7+10 team brought home a Silver Medal in the team competition. Alexis and Kelly earned an eighth place finish in the Individual Championship.

Congratulations to Alexis and her trainer, Christian Heineking.

Two NTEC Riders Invited to and Attend the 2010 Festival of Champions

Twenty-one year old Rachel Campbell and fifteen year old Nathalie Martin were invited to compete in the 2010 USEF National Dressage Championships held in Gladstone, New Jersey, in August. This elite competition hosts the very best dressage riders in the U.S. with only the top twelve nationally ranked riders invited to attend.

Rachel and her horse, Wandango, competed in their third USEF National Championship in the Young Rider division and finished 10th overall. Nathalie and mount, Royal, completed in their first national championship in the Junior Rider division finishing 6th overall.

Congratulations to both Rachel and Nathalie on their fantastic achievements!
