NTEC Dressage Riders Attend NAJYRCLexington, KentuckyJuly, 2009 |
The North American Junior and Young Rider Championships (NAJYRC) were held in Lexington, KY, in July.
This very special competition brings together the best riders from the United States, Canada, Mexico,
Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean Islands for a continental championship in the equestrian
disciplines of dressage, show jumping, reining, and eventing. Riders compete on teams as well as
individually at the junior rider level (age 14-18 years) or the young rider level (age 16 – 21 years).
Teams representing each of nine United State Dressage Federation (USDF) regions are composed of up to
four riders who earn spots on their regional team by competing in a series of qualifying competitions
throughout the year.
